Alcan Dragonboat Festival 2006
Alcan is amazing.
It's a huge race (more than 170 teams).
The competition is fierce.
The crowds are great.
The venue is great.
But most of all, the format means that pretty much every team ends up in races at the end that are tight. And by tight I mean really, really tight. Races where out of 9 teams in the race, 7 finish together in a pack. We saw races where the difference between Silver and eighth place was well less than a second.
