Happy winter solstice to one and all!
Here on the North Shore of Kauai it was a lovely day and time. The storm has moved through, the weather is lovely, and while the days may be shorter the surf is better.
Living in an agricultural community, in an agricultural neighborhood, on an agricultural property (and growing tons of agricultural product) has changed things for us and now Solstice seems like an important and meaningful celebration. To be honest... it seems far more relevant than Christmas now.
In any event, as you can see we celebrated Solstice with our friend Catherine Geanuracos with a plunge in the ocean, a feast, and a fire. And it was lovely.
